Medical specialists believe the teenager died due to complications brought on by thrombosis. Psychologist Rustam Kallimulin commented on the case, stating “Problems with video games become bigger if parents do not take enough care of children https://gnome-hearts.org/.
It does not have to be that parents drink or take drugs, but simply do not pay enough attention to children. In those cases children escape from problems into virtual worlds.” Number 3: Hsieh 32-year-old Taiwanese native Hsieh was found dead in an Internet café after playing an online computer game for three days straight. He entered the Kaohsiung Internet café on the January 6th, 2015. But on the 8th of January at around 10 am, a member of the café’s staff found him sprawled on the table...motionless. Police and emergency services were called, and Hsieh was taken to the hospital where the doctors determined that he had died from cardiac failure. Over-exhaustion and cold temperatures were believed to have contributed to his death as well. Due to stiffness in his corpse, investigators established that the man had potentially died several hours before authorities were alerted. According to the Internet café staff, Hsieh would rest his head on the table whenever he was tired, which is why they did not suspect that anything was wrong. The man had been unemployed for a long period of time and was a regular at the Internet café where, according to his family, he would go on gaming binges that lasted several days. According to reports from several police officers, the gamers carried on playing, even as paramedics arrived on the scene. Number 2: Tim Eves 25-year-old Tim Eves was considered by many to be a healthy person in fit physical condition. According to his family, his girlfriend Emma Tuck, and his roommate and childhood friend Lewis Hickin, Tim did not lead a sedentary lifestyle. He reportedly enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and cycling, and he played drums for his band “Distant Sun”. He worked as a laborer for Yarmouth Steel Services along with Hickin and his father. He had even made a recent voyage out to Portugal to see his parents, who lived there, in order to celebrate his mother’s 50th birthday. But on March 4th, 2009, a few hours after returning home from Portugal, he began playing on the Wii Fit console, which includes a number of physical activities such as football, yoga, and boxing. His girlfriend and his best friend were watching him as he jogged on the Wii Fit. The 25-year-old was reportedly speaking to his parents as he played. According to his girlfriend, a few minutes after hanging up the phone, Tim collapsed on the floor. The paramedics were called to the house and Tim was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. The doctors were puzzled as to why a young man, whose lifestyle was healthy and who was in good health would just die so suddenly. Even though the cause of his death is a mystery, medics suspect that Tim Eves was unknowingly suffering from Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome. This disorder affects the heart’s electrical system, meaning those affected by it can have an abnormal heart rhythm. It also means that during strenuous physical activities, the heart may stop pumping blood, depriving the brain of oxygen. Approximately 500 people die annually due to this condition. Shocked by the death of his best friend, Lewis Hickin told a media outlet, “I was privileged to have been Tim’s best mate for over 20 years, from pre-school through to adult life. He was the most enthusiastic, positive person you’ll ever meet, and I hope some of that has rubbed off on me over the years.” Number 1: Brian Vigneault February 19th, 2017: Brian Vigneault—father of 3—dies while participating in a 24-hour video gaming marathon. He was hosting a video game challenge at the time of his death with the purpose of raising money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. Prior to the charity event, Vigneault had reportedly spent days live-streaming for 20 hours at a time. Under the username “Poshybrid,” the 35-year-old had built a fan base in the online gaming community associated with the World of Tanks. He was also a frequent streamer on Amazon's gaming platform, “Twitch”. 22 hours into the marathon, Vigneault took a cigarette break. Fellow streamer and friend Jessica Gebauer told a media outlet that the man looked extremely tired and that he was in “bad shape”. She and other players had reportedly urged Vigneault to go rest, telling him the stream could wait. According to the stream's moderators, Vigneault never returned to the game. Other players believed that he had fallen asleep. His death was later announced by a detective on the Discord gaming chat in a message sent to a fellow gamer. Vigneault’s Twitch account indicated that his stream had resulted in over $10,920 raised for charitable organizations that worked with children and veterans. The cause of his death is yet to be determined, but many suspect heart complications and sleep deprivation as possible causes. Jessica Gebauer is currently the administrator of the GoFundMe page that was created to help the Brian’s three children. In late February, the page had already raised over $18,000.
